SBF provides planning, consulting and development project support. We provide planning and consulting services to clients in IT and communications fields, as well as hands-on support in the development of related software and systems. Our forte is the areas of basic software infrastructure and commercial hardware/software applications for enabling (1) the acquisition, maintenance and management of digital data, information and knowledge for business purposes, and (2) the smooth communication of such information to other parties. We have the capability of handling contracts for (a) analyzing business and market trends related to enabling technologies, (b) actually planning the required business activities, products and systems, (c) performing "solutions integration" for achieving project success, and (d) supporting the performance of actual development projects. We pay special attention to Data Management & Communication (DMC) as the primary engine for the success of clients business. It will also be an engine for promoting industries to support continued enrichment of daily life in general. We are especially focusing on (a) data and contents communication in corporations and other business process, (b) Solution and application for ubiquitous communication. It means that the word "data" in this case indicates the broad concepts of: 1) The various kinds of operational data and "knowledge content" in business. (Analytical data and reports, planning papers, educational and training materials, etc.) 2) Observational data of all types used in business. (Medical and other healthcare related data, manufacturing process data, environmental and other monitored data, etc.) 3) Digital content encountered in daily life. (Moving picture, spoken voice recordings, digital camera images, etc. Sometimes more broadband contents.) Our work often focuses on how to acquire these kinds of data, how to communicate them to other parties, and how to achieve the infrastructure technologies and applications for accomplishing those things. Starting from the areas of software, networks and the enabling ICs (communications applications), our role is to be proactive in conceiving of and proposing optimal solutions, particularly in achieving effective applications through software, and in performing development projects.
